Lusting Lately - The Perfect Turtleneck

I honestly don't think I have ever worn a turtleneck in my life. However, I can't stop daydreaming about the perfect cropped turtleneck tank top! I have been searching endlessly in thrift stores for a turtleneck that I can DIY into my dream top and I have been coming up empty handed. Sure, I find turtlenecks, lots and lots of turtlenecks, but they are always worn out and cut awkwardly. So here is my dilemma, do I keep searching or do I cough up the money and buy the one in the second photo from threadsense?

Loafer Love

These are the perfect shoes in my eyes, they are everything this girl could want from a pair of shoes;  flat, pointy, black, animal print, leather, textured, with a thin but noticeable bow perfectly tied in the centre. Who could ask for more?

DIY Inspiration: London Fashion Week

NYFW might be over but there are still a lot more runway shows to go. London Fashion Week is going strong and the shows so far have been amazing. Temperley London sent this amazing outfit down the runway and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it ever since. I think it is time I start practicing my knotting skills and attempt to recreate it!

Salt Air and Red Stares

For some reason red is a color I have never been drawn too. I've always thought it doesn't look that great on me and because of that I really have no red in my wardrobe. However, this editorial of Adeline Jouan for SnC's September issue has me thinking that I have it all wrong. The bright all red outfits look nothing short of stunning when played against the blues and greys of the beach. I think it is time for me to invest in some red items and go frolic around in the sand.

DIY Inspiration: Denim Shirt

I have not been able to stop thinking about this shirt and what a great DIY project it would be ever since I saw it on Pinterest. I didn't have the best of luck finding a good fitted denim shirt on a recent thrift store shopping adventure with Austere but hopefully I will find one soon and be able to attempt my own version of this bad boy.
Sorry about the recent lack of DIY posts. I promise Austere and I have been sewing up a storm and some great new posts are on there way!

Tomboy

I have a tendency to wear extremely colorful and loud clothing. I can't help it, I love wearing bright florals, stacks and stacks of huge statement jewelery, and pretty much anything that makes my short little self stand out. However, when I saw the lookbook for the new Tomboy Style book that is coming out it was a great reminder that even subtle, neutral palette clothing can make a big statement.
