Salt Air and Red Stares
For some reason red is a color I have never been drawn too. I've always thought it doesn't look that great on me and because of that I really have no red in my wardrobe. However, this editorial of Adeline Jouan for SnC's September issue has me thinking that I have it all wrong. The bright all red outfits look nothing short of stunning when played against the blues and greys of the beach. I think it is time for me to invest in some red items and go frolic around in the sand.

DIY Inspiration: Cheap Easy Home Goods
I am currently spending my summer visiting and living with my manfriend and while this is extremely fun and lovely there is a downside. His house is most definitely and without a doubt a boys house. The house could maybe be considered functional or even practical for what it is but it could never ever be considered stylish or cute. Therefore, I have made it my goal to try and come up with some cheap and easy home DIYs so that I don't feel like I am living in a fraternity. Above is a collection of images I have been collecting for some inspiration. I will keep you guys posted on how these projects turn out.

Under The Sea
I'm not shy about my love of anything that has to do with the ocean or water in general, so this campaign for Feline Blush's "Wonderland Couture" jumped right out at me. Not only are the clothes stunningly beautiful, but the movement and lighting provided by shooting underwater is breathtaking. I'm a bit obsessed with every single image.

There is a first time for everything...

Here we go! My first blog post, this is some exciting stuff and also a little intimidating.
Well it should come as no surprise to anyone who knows me that I would be in love with the sea/mermaid oriented trends this spring. I am truly obsessed with anything that has to do with the ocean. For me Chanel executed this trend perfectly. The stag coral heels are perhaps the most amazing shoes I have ever seen. If it wouldn't mean being in debt for the rest of my life I would buy every item from their Spring 2012 runway show. Since that isn't really an option I will have to spend my time working on some DIY ways to replicate my favorite looks.
Not sure if anyone is going to read this besides Austere and my mom but if you managed to find your way here, thanks for reading!
